The drawback is that if the bulb used for making vaporizer, is not cleaned properly, then there are chances of inhaling small particles of glass along with vapor. Likewise, the rubber tube, used in homemade vaporizer may also cause health hazards by deposition of harmful particles of smoke, inside the tube. Therefore, it is suggested to change the rubber tube regularly.
The most obvious drawback of using a homemade vaporizer is that there is no definite control on temperature therefore chances of overheating and burning of the substance, which one is using in the vaporizer, are possible. This results in the waste of herb or plant and possibility of getting very bad taste and smoky vapor. A homemade vaporizer can also be hazardous and risk of fire is also associated with it. The required temperature, to produce vapor out of herbs, can cause many household items to catch fire. Fire can become out of control if the vaporizer is left unattended. Therefore, it is necessary to take some safety measures while using homemade vaporizer.
